Republican front-runner Donald Trump isn’t pleased with critics comparing him to Adolf Hitler.
Trump, who spoke with “Good Morning America” over the phone earlier today, claimed he wasn’t aware of the comparisons by celebrities Louis C.K. and Mexican president Pena Nieto. “I don’t want that comparison,” he stated, adding that he’s “not happy” at being likened to the Nazi dictator.
Louis C.K. has been outspoken in his anti-Trump views, most recently sending an email blast to fans that read: “Please stop it with voting for Trump. It was funny for a little while. But the guy is Hitler. And by that I mean that we are being Germany in the ’30s.”
Photos of Trump urging supporters to raise their right hand in an oath to vote in their primaries has had critics noting the similarities between the Nazi salute.
“ABC News”; anchor George Stephanopulos asked Trump if these comparisons mean that he should “tone down” his campaign tactics. Trump replied, “maybe so,” before adding that with his large following, “I have to be strong.”
