Janet Jackson is an inspiration to many, including K-Pop supergroup BTS.
And on Friday, the Korean boy band got to meet the icon, 52, backstage at the 2018 Mnet Asian Music Awards in Hong Kong.
Jackson shared a video of the meeting to Twitter, writing, “Nice meeting you BTS.”
In the short clip, one of the band members told Jackson, “We’re huge fans!” The “Escapade” singer then sweetly told BTS that she’s also a fan of theirs.
Shortly after the encounter, BTS awarded Jackson with the night’s MAMA Worldwide Inspiration Award, “I’m very excited and honoured by this wonderful award. I’m deeply humbled by the idea that I’ve inspired others,” she said after excepting the honour. “I dream of an immediate future when women will no longer be controlled, manipulated or abused. I dream of the end of bigotry and discrimination in any form. I dream of a world in which we join hands across all borders and unite as one. Finally, I dream of a planet where hatred turns to compassion, tolerance turns to understanding and a healing and lasting peace prevails.”
Jackson also performed during the event.
