Amy Adams is looking back at a hilarious moment with Brad Pitt.
The star of the upcoming film “Vice”, 44, sat down with Jimmy Kimmel and recalled the moment when she rejected a hug from Brad Pitt.
As Adams explains, she was on set of the new flick about former U.S. Vice President Dick Cheney, which is being produced by Pitt’s production company Plan B, when Pitt stopped by a cast meeting.
“[Brad] came on the set one day. I was wondering why all the girls had lip gloss and were skipping to set,” she explained. “I walk onto set, and I had just been diagnosed with pink eye. I walk onto set and I’m like, ‘What’s everyone so happy about?'”
During the visit, he went to greet Adams, “All of a sudden I see Brad Pitt. You think he’s going to move in slow motion and you imagine yourself looking really pretty in a white nightgown.”
She added, “But that wasn’t the case. I was in my fat suit with pink eye.”
But when Pitt went in for a hug, Adams quickly rejected him, “He was so sweet. He was like, ‘Oh, it’s so good to see you.’ He went to give me a hug and then I realized, I can’t hug him, I have pink eye.”
“I was like, ‘No, no!’ And in that moment, I became the first woman in history to reject a hug from Brad Pitt,” she continued. “Luckily, he was very gracious. I was like, ‘I’m contagious.'”
Adams plays Cheney’s wife Lynn in the new film which hits the big screen Dec. 25.
