According to Deadline, Bee and her show’s production team donated an entire six-bedroom house to the nonprofit organization El Refugio.

The organization provides visitation to detained immigrants, along with free meals and lodging for family and friends separated by immigration officials.

The new house will service as a place of lodging for both the families of detained immigrants, as well as lawyers and interpreters working for the Southern Poverty Law Center to aid immigrants held at Stewart Detention Center in Lumpkin, Georgia.

“We are overwhelmed with humility and gratitude,” said JoAnn Weiss, board chair of El Refugio. “Thanks to the radical kindness and awesome generosity of Samantha Bee and the production team at ‘Full Frontal’, we will be able to do much more to alleviate the stress and expense families separated by I.C.E. experience when they visit their loved ones at Stewart.”

More information about El Refugio and the new house will be revealed as part of Samantha Bee’s “Christmas on I.C.E.” special set to air Wednesday, Dec. 19 on TBS.
