‘Outlander’ Executive Producer Explains Caitriona Balfe And Sam Heughan’s Absence

Fans of W Network‘s “Outlander” might have been confused when stars Caitriona Balfe and Sam Heughan were absent from the latest episode.

One of the show’s executive producers took to Twitter to explain why characters Claire and Jamie were nowhere to be found in season four, episode seven titled “Down The Rabbit Hole”.

“Can you tell us more about your decision not to include the two leads in ep 407. Outlander is about Jamie and Claire,” a fan asked, prompting a response from Toni Graphia.

“We love J & C, but we believe that even if they are not on screen, it doesn’t mean they aren’t a part of the episode,” Graphia said through Sony’s official Twitter account. “This is their daughter, who is searching for them to save their lives. Any story about their family is also about them.”
