David Arquette is heading back into the ring.
Despite being seriously injured in a “wrestling death match” back in November, the 47-year-old actor has taken to social media to announce that he’s ready for more action.
The actor then tweeted a video captioned “are you ready to wrestle the champ?” showing his son playing with an autographed championship belt.
Following his bout with Nick Gage on Friday, Nov. 16, where fans circulated photos of his bloody face, Arquette released a statement regarding his injuries saying “I wanted to make sure to address the photos and videos that have surfaced from the event, as this is not the type of wrestling you watch on TV.”
The father of two continued, “I knew it was violent and potentially bloody, but I truly did not know the extent of what I was participating in. However, I take responsibility for putting myself in that situation.”
“For the last six months I have been training and competing in indie matches around the country, as wrestling is a passion of mine,” he shared. “I want to state again that this is not traditional wrestling, and I have the utmost respect for that sport.”
At the time, Arquette mentioned that he had no intentions of participating in another match, but thanks to a new tweet from the National Wrestling Alliance, that seems to have changed.
