Everybody is familiar with Dwayne Johnson’s alias “The Rock,” but the “Rampage” star has another moniker he’d like people to refer to him as this holiday season – Dwanta Claus.
Entertainment Weekly teased its upcoming Christmas-themed issue – for which Johnson is the cover star – with a short two-minute video of the 46-year-old actor sporting a festive sweater and talking all things Christmas.
The “Skyscraper” actor talked about his favourite Christmas songs and movies and revealed the best and worst gifts he’s ever received – the “best” being when fans get tattoos of his face and the “worst” being “nothing.”
However, the highlight of the video came at the start, when Johnson introduced “Dwanta Claus,” a modern, cooler take on Jolly Old Saint Nicholas.
“What I can tell you about Dwanta Claus is he’s non-denominational. Let’s start with that. He takes care of everybody — all genders, all races, all ages,” Johnson stated. “He’s a little bit naughty, little bit nice. Like tequila.”
“His sleigh is driven by bulls, Brahma bulls, but he has his little sidekick. Hobbes is his name. And he has reindeer antlers growing out of his head. Not the kind that you wear like a hat, but legitimately, he has antlers growing out of his head.”
Surely a new Christmas movie franchise has just been born?
