Comedian Amy Schumer is firing back at those critical of her stance to not do 2019 Super Bowl commercials in a show of support for former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick.

Taking to Instagram on Wednesday morning, Schumer, 37, had a message for those saying they had a problem with her decision.

“The snooty ‘lil digs about me in stories about the super bowl halftime talent is such a yawn. All out of touch white guys annoyed by me standing up for what I believe is right. I have done 2 Super Bowl commercials in the last couple years and I’m so stupid thinking my opinion would matter right? Well, guess what? I may have made a difference,” she posts in an all-text Instagram story. She appeared in one of the 2016 Super Bowl’s most-talked-about ads: a 30-second spot for Bud Light.

Schumer also makes reference to the NFL’s trouble finding artists to play the halftime show with Maroon 5, who have yet to be officially announced as headliners. The league has continued to come up short corralling celebrities to appear at the annual event.

“No one is stepping up to perform,” she writes. “Maybe they wouldn’t have anyway. But at least I tried to help out and do what other people are too greedy or afraid to. Would you do that to stand up for people of color? I may have made an impact.”

The “I Feel Pretty” star continues:  “You can write about sports and even be the best at it but what have you done to help the marginalized or under-represented? I will continue to do everything I can. even with all the snide little white sportswriters making cutting remarks.”

Schumer is the latest celeb to take a stance against the NFL, joining Rihanna, Jay-Z, Andre 3000, Usher, Mary J. Blige, Nicki Minaj, and Cardi B, who have all reportedly turned down the chance to appear. More than 75,000 fans have signed an online petition urging Maroon 5 to drop out of the halftime show.
