Josh Duhamel has procreation on the mind.
The “Transformers” actor opens up about his love life after splitting from his wife of eight years, Fergie.
“I’m not 30 years old anymore. I’m 45. I want to have more kids,” he told Dax Shepard on Shepard’s “Armchair” Podcast. Fun fact, Duhamel is actually 46. “So it’s more about finding someone young enough to have kids.”
“It’s not as if I’m out there trying to just f**k anything. I’m trying to find a girl that I can be with and have a family with,” Duhamel insisted. “Fergie and I had a great relationship. I love that girl and I always will. Unfortunately, we didn’t work, but I will always have her back and she is the mother of my baby.”
The “Las Vegas” star also shared a funny story about his early rivalry with fellow actor Ashton Kutcher. The two competed in a New York City Male Model of the Year competition with Duhamel just squeaking out a victory. “It’s literally like Miss USA,” he explained. “The real-life ‘Zoolander’.”
“After I win this thing, I think I’m off to the races – this is my ticket to stardom,” Duhamel chuckled. “Nothing happened for four years. I didn’t even get that agency contract that I thought I was going to get.”
“Literally nothing happened. Ashton became Ashton. He got that Calvin Klein campaign, he got ‘That ‘70s Show,'” he continued. “Oh God, I was so jealous of him for so long. I didn’t understand. What happened? I won. I was Male Model of the Year!”
Fortunately, Duhamel fared far better after shifting his focus to acting. He most recently appeared in the romantic comedy “Love, Simon” and the TV series “Unsolved”.
