Dan Reynolds is not happy with Rolling Stone.
The Imagine Dragons frontman slammed the publication after they published an article entitled “Why Mainstream Rock Sucked in 2018”, focusing on the Las Vegas-based band as their subject.
The teaser to the piece reads: “From Imagine Dragons’ overproduced posturing to artists ripping off a whole lotta Led Zeppelin, here’s what went wrong this year,” while using a photo of Reynolds as their main image.
“I’ve stated in countless interviews for a decade now that Imagine Dragons is not, nor wants to be a rock band,” Reynolds wrote to the mag on Twitter.

He then called the writer’s “old white outdated men that wish it was 1970.”

Later, after sharing his distaste with the magazine, Reynolds explained why the article “hurt,” “These tweets are me speaking out of a hurt place full of ego.”
