Fans of U.K. comedy “Catastrophe” received a special treat on Friday when star Rob Delaney took to Twitter to share a first look at the new trailer for the upcoming fourth season.
In “Catastrophe”, Delaney stars as a Boston ad exec whose one-week stand with a London schoolteacher (Sharon Horgan) results in an unexpected pregnancy, forcing this mismatched couple together as cultures clash hilariously — all while they come to the realization that they know next to nothing about each other.
In the promo for the new season, the hilarity continues with such incidents as Delaney’s character becoming the victim of a drive-by attack — with juice.
Horgan and Delaney are also co-creators and writers on the show, and in an interview with The Independent she discussed why their partnership works so well.
“I think there’s a weird alchemy there – something that’s hard to put your finger on,” Horgan explained. “I think sometimes Rob doesn’t know how funny he is until I burst out laughing and write it down. Then when I read it back, he bursts out laughing. It’s pretty bonkers.”
The fourth season of “Catastrophe” premieres in the U.K. in January; no word yet on when the new season will be available to stream on Amazon Prime Video.
