Following last night’s Bachelor finale, Ben Higgins and fiancee Lauren Bushnell are finally able to open up about their romance, telling People in an exclusive cover story what it’s like to have been secretly engaged for the past four months.
“Now that I’m out of that world and we’re together and looking at life from here on out, it’s a lot easier,”; Higgins says of his relationship with Bushnell, a flight attendant, outside of the Bachelor mansion. “[The Bachelor] led me to this woman who I love deeply. She is the only woman I’ll love from now on.”;

Of course, viewers know that his fiancee wasn’t the only woman to whom he uttered those three crucial words, and the story will include Higgins’ explanation for why he said “I love you”; to someone else — and how Bushnell forgave him.
Meanwhile, the couple are learning things about each other that never came to light on the show.
“Apparently I’m a loud breather,”; reveals Higgins, while Bushnell admits: “And he’s a morning person. I’m a nothing before 9 a.m. girl. I need coffee immediately before I have a conversation with anybody. And he wakes up cheery and wanting to chitchat!”;

Meanwhile, Us Weekly has some info about the massive rock that Bushnell is now sporting on her finger, reporting it’s a US$100,000 diamond ring from “jeweller to the stars”; Neil Lane, featuring a whopping 3-carat emerald-cut centre stone flanked by two baguette diamonds, set in platinum.
Following the finale, the happy couple dropped by Hollywood’s El Capitan Theater to pay a visit to Jimmy Kimmel. Watch:
