Tom Hanks knows the value of a good burger.
“The Green Mile” actor lived up to his good guy reputation with an admirable deed on Friday. Hanks, 62, and his wife Rita Wilson grabbed a bite at a Fontana, California In-N-Out Burger.
The two-time Academy Award winner walked over to the In-N-Out drive through and bought lunch for several customers. Renee Chavez captured a video of Hanks in the act and shared it on Facebook.
A fan named Meghan told E! all about the moment, “Tom signed In-N-Out hats and took pictures with everyone. He was genuinely nice, laughing, talking with everyone and taking selfies! He wished us a Merry Christmas on his way out.”
Meghan also snapped a photo of Hanks and Wilson having lunch.
Fontana is not known to be a celebrity hotspot, fans were equal parts thrilled and courteous by all accounts.
Hanks took a break from film in 2018, but appeared as Sir John Falstaff in the Shakespeare Center of Los Angeles’ production of Henry IV. He returns to the big screen at least three times in 2019 with roles in “Greyhound”, “Toy Story 4”, and “You Are My Friend”.
If you thought an In-N-Out Burger could not get any better, a side serving of Hanks proves otherwise.
