Adam Lambert Brings Cher To Tears While Performing Show-Stopping Rendition Of ‘Believe’

If anyone knows how to honour Cher, it’s Adam Lambert.

While attending the 41st annual Kennedy Center Honors in Washington, D.C., the “American Idol” alum paid tribute to the iconic musician with a powerful rendition of her song “Believe”.

Backed by a full orchestra, Lambert belted out the hit dance track, transforming it into an emotional ballad, closing out the performance with one of his classic high notes.

Not only did the 36-year-old receive a standing ovation from the audience at the Kennedy Center but brought the 72-year-old honouree to tears.

Following Lambert’s tear-jerking take on the upbeat 1998 classic, Cher tweeted her love and admiration for the “If I Had You” hitmaker.

The music icon got another surprise during the broadcast, with Cyndi Lauper performing “If I Could Turn Back Time”.

Viewers noticed that Cher shouted to Lauper, “You told me you were going to Los Angeles!”. “I lied!” Lauper replied.

Later in the show, Lauper and Lambert performed an amazing duet of Cher’s “I Got You Babe”.
