Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson is making more than double that of his “Jungle Cruise” co-star Emily Blunt, according to recent reports.
The “Rampage” star is being paid $22 million for his lead role in the upcoming Disney movie, $13 million more than Blunt, who will receive $9 million as the film’s leading lady, reports TMZ.

Johnson is the second highest paid actor in Hollywood, just behind Daniel Craig, earning $124 million in 2018, according to Forbes. A bonafide box office draw, the 46-year-old actor has starred in hits such as “Fast & The Furious”, “Jumanji”, and “Moana”.
But Blunt has an impressive resume of her own; a Golden Globe winner and 5-time nominee, she is currently receiving critical acclaim for her turn as Mary Poppins in the Disney sequel. The 35-year-old actress has also starred in the likes of “A Quiet Place”, “Sicario”, and “The Devil Wears Prada”.

TMZ also reports that Johnson’s pay rate for “Jungle Cruise” matches his earnings for another of his 2020 movies, “Red Notice”, co-starring Gal Gadot. It is not known how much Gadot is being paid for her role in the film.
The gender pay gap continues to be a hot topic of debate in Hollywood. Earlier this year, it was revealed that Mark Wahlberg was paid an astonishing $1.5 million to film reshoots for Ridley Scott’s “All The Money In The World”, whereas his co-star Michelle Williams earned just $1000.
Following the backlash, Wahlberg donated his fee for the reshoots to the Time’s Up legal fund.
