TV networks have struggled to revive the once massively popular variety show, with past efforts hosted by such stars as Neil Patrick Harris, Rosie O’Donnell and Maya Rudolph not exactly setting the ratings world on fire.
However, A&E has high hopes for a new style of variety with 50 Cent Presents, a music/comedy/whatever showcase hosted by Curtis “50 Cent”; Jackson, who’ll also be exec producer.

According to the A&E announcement, the series will combine sketches, standup, “reality experiments,”; music, magic, dance and celebrity guest appearances.
“I grew up watching variety shows and am excited to put my own spin on the format,”; says 50 Cent in a statement. “I hope everyone is ready to bring their talent forward, I want to show the world the best of the best.”;
