Penny Marshall died earlier this month at 75, and now we have more insight into her cause of death.

According to the death certificate obtained by The Blast, the “Big” director died from heart failure, caused by atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease and type 1 diabetes. No autopsy was performed.
The certificate lists Marshall’s time of death at 9:10 p.m. on Dec. 17, 2018.
Upon Marshall’s passing, her family released a statement remembering the actress and director as, “a comedic natural with a photographic memory and an instinct for slapstick,” as well as, “a pioneer as the first woman in history to helm a film that grossed more than $100 million.”
