Speaking about her transformation in her new film “Destroyer”, Kidman said, “My kids visited the set and were shocked at the way I looked.”
Ali described how he managed to get into character as real life musical prodigy Dr. Don Shirley in “Green Book”, telling W, “I worked for three months so that I’d look comfortable playing. Once I put on the ascot and sat at the piano, it helped the character pop into alignment.”
On how she get into political mindset of her character Lynne Cheney in “Vice”, Adams said, “I really just absorbed her point of view. Whether I agree with it or not doesn’t really matter. To get into character, I would have long debates about policy and politics as Lynne Cheney with our director, Adam McKay. I called him many names. I teased him about wearing shorts on set and how that was disrespectful. But I didn’t swear, because Lynne wouldn’t swear.”
“Bohemian Rhapsody” star Malek recalled he first ever audition, which he convinced the casting agent to let him try out for despite not having an agent.
“It was three lines in ‘Gilmore Girls’,” he said. “I convinced her to let me read, and I got the part.”
Also featured in the issue are Saoirse Ronan, Lakeith Stanfield, Margot Robbie, Timothee Chalamet, Claire Foy, Eddie Redmayne, Michael B. Jordan, Joanna Kulig, Elizabeth Debicki, Regina King, Willem Dafoe, Thomas Harcourt McKenzie, Steven Yeun, Elsie Fisher, Jonah Hill, KiKi Layne, Carey Mulligan, Yalazita Aparicio, Marina De Tavira, Emily Blunt, Ethan Hawke, Amanda Stenberg, Noah Centineo, Troye Sivan and Kathryn Hahn.
