Julia Michaels and Lauv are the latest couple to split up in 2019.

On January 3, the “Issues” singer shared via her Instagram Stories her intentions in the new year. “No more dating narcissists,” she said.
This post prompted fans to do some online sleuthing, discovering tweets from a week back pretty much confirming that the musical couple had called their relationship quits.
One fan reached out to Michaels, whose reply suggested it was the “I Like Me Better” singer who ended the relationship.
Following Michaels’ Instagram Stories post, fans had lots of thoughts and questions regarding the 25-year-old’s breakup with Lauv, real name Ari Staprans Leff.
But, Michaels wanted to let everyone know that there’s no bad blood between them.

Michaels and Lauv sparked romance rumours in late 2018 after the debut of their music video for their song “There’s No Way”. The duo later confirmed their relationship in October.
In December, Lauv gushed about Michaels while chatting with ET Canada’s Sangita Patel backstage at the 2018 iHeartRadio Jingle Ball, saying that “she is literally the best thing in the world.”
