Though the “Bohemian Rhapsody” co-stars arrived separately for the Film Awards Gala at the Palm Springs International Film Festival on Thursday night, Billboard reported that in his Breakthrough Performance acceptance speech Malek acknowledged he and Boynton are indeed in a romantic relationship.
“I’m just really honoured to be here, so thank you to the Palm Springs Film Festival. It’s a privilege, it’s not lost on me and I’m so appreciative,” he began.

Malek then added, “Thank you, Lucy Boynton. You have been my ally, my confidant, my love. Thank you so much.”
Rumours of the pair’s relationship have been brewing since April 2018. The two met while filming “Bohemian Rhapsody” in 2017.
