As the U.S. presidential campaign heats up, Democratic frontrunner Hillary Clinton can count on the celebrity support of George Clooney, with the Hail Caesar star writing a letter in which he pledges his support to the Secretary or State and former First Lady — and urges other American voters to do the same.
The Clooney-penned letter, reports People, was sent to Clinton supporters via email, with Clooney praising her “consistent voice”; amidst all the campaign “clutter,”; singling her out among the field of presidential contenders as “the only grown-up in the room. And if ever there was a time for a grown-up, that time is now.”;

Clooney isn’t a newcomer on the Hillary Clinton bandwagon; not only is his wife Amal Clooney scheduled to host a big Hollywood fundraiser for Clinton next month, he was also a vocal supporter of her failed presidential bid back in 2003, when she conceded the Democratic nomination to opponent Barack Obama before taking the position of Secretary of State within his cabinet.

“Friend —
“If you listen to the loudest voices out there today, you’d think we’re a country that hates Mexicans, hates Muslims, and thinks that committing war crimes is the best way to make America great again.
“The truth is that the only thing that would prevent America from being great would be to empower these voices.
“In all of this clutter, there’s been one consistent voice. A voice of tolerance and experience, from a candidate who’s spent a lifetime fighting for the rights of the less fortunate. A candidate who knows firsthand the complexity of our international relationships.

“That candidate is Hillary Clinton.
“As this primary process continues, Hillary could soon have an insurmountable delegate lead and with that, the Democratic nomination. That would then make her the only grown-up in the room. And if ever there was a time for a grown-up, that time is now.”;
