Post Malone’s “Psycho” is a slow-groove rap featuring Ty Dolla $ign, but when singer Danielle Bradbery listened to the track she heard a smoky, piano-driven ballad, which is the way she recorded the song as the latest entry into her “Yours Truly: 2018” series of covers.
Last month, Bradbery — who, like Malone, hails from Texas — explained the impetus behind her new project, which already includes two previously released cover songs.
“I grew up listening to all kinds of music from country to R&B and hip-hop, even Hispanic music with my mom’s side of the family, and all of those influences have impacted my own art,” she said.

“Incredible music was released across all genres this year, so I wanted to mark this moment in time with my own versions of some of my favourites,” she added. “I can’t wait for everyone to hear my take on these songs.”
This marks the third entry in her “Yours Truly: 2018” project, which also includes covers of Casey Musgraves’ “Slow Burn” and Ariana Grande’s “God Is A Woman”. Watch:
