Having been married to one of the biggest names in Hollywood, Ben Affleck, and starring in box-office hits herself, the 43-year-old is bound to come across some seemingly fake people in the city of angels. But if you ask her, she’s not quite sure if fame really does change people.
“I’ve lived in L.A. a long time and I know a lot of really incredible, down-to-earth people. I think a few people are kind of more into the idea of fame or whatever, but they were like that when they were kids, I’m sure,”; she explains. “I don’t see people changing in some huge way. You are who you are.”;
The 13 Going on 30 star shares that out of all her children —- Violet, Seraphina and Samuel — it’s four-year-old Samuel who despises the paparazzi the most.
“He hates them. And every time he sees the cameras, which is still every day, and he says, ‘I don’t like that. There are two things I don’t like, mom. I don’t like cameras, I don’t like men with cameras and I don’t like being laughed at. I don’t like if I feel like you’re laughing at me,'”; she says. “And I say, ‘I can control not laughing at you,’ although he is so funny, but we have to talk about the fact they can’t hurt you.”;
Garner further touches on how her upbringing with her two sisters has influenced her enduring faith.
“My parents did such a great job of raising my sisters and me in a world where faith was part of our lives,”; she says.
