Kate Middleton is turning 37 on the same day Prince William was announced as the patron of the air ambulance’s 30th-anniversary campaign.
According to the Daily Mail, Kate doesn’t have too many crazy plans on Wednesday and will simply be spending her special day at Kensington Palace with her kids; Prince George, 5, Princess Charlotte, 3, and eight-month-old Prince Louis.
After sharing a special message for the Duchess of Cambridge, the Palace’s Twitter account then explained how William had met air ambulance staff in London.
He also met one man in particular named Yair, who was hit by a car while cycling in Enfield in April 2016, suffering severe damage to his pelvis.
The Palace added that the royal had seen first-hand the impact the air ambulance team had upon the lives of patients with critical injuries.
The duke worked as a pilot for around two years in East Anglia, which is close to his and Kate’s Anmer Hall home in Norfolk.
