Phoenix invited Kelly to join them on stage at Coachella in 2013 and later collaborated on a remix of the band’s single “Trying to Be Cool”. Many celebrities have publicly spoken out against Kelly, such as John Legend, or have apologized for working with him the past, like Lady Gaga.

“We regret that we were not both more informed and more discerning when we worked with him previously,” Phoenix tweeted on Thursday. “We fully support all victims of sexual abuse, and it’s our hope that there will be a path to justice.”
