There is stage diving, and then there is stage tumbling, a new craft that Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl seems to have mastered.
The Foos were performing their first gig of 2019 at the Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas on Wednesday when Grohl slipped off the stage and onto the floor. Luckily, his fall was partially broken by the security staff below.
In a video posted online by Instagram user i_play_with_cars, Grohl is seen rocking out on his guitar while shuffling along the edge of the stage. At one point, a fan passes him a can of beer, which he then attempts to drink hands-free.

After spilling the beer, Grohl picks up the can and downs it in one shot but when he tries to climb back on stage, he stumbles and falls backwards onto the ground.
However, there didn’t seem to be any serious damage, except for maybe a bruised ego, as he quickly got back to his feet and continued the show.
In 2015, the singer-guitarist famously plunged off the stage at a gig in Sweden, resulting in a broken leg. The Foos were supposed to headline the UK’s Glastonbury festival that year but had to cancel due to Grohl’s injury.
Grohl had some fun when the band returned to Sweden last year by pretending to tumble off the stage again. Thankfully, it was just a look-a-like stuntman and no one was actually hurt.
The Foo Fighters tour will continue across Europe this summer with a headline slot at the Reading and Leeds festival in the U.K.
