Kathy Griffin is definitely no fan of disgraced former CBS chairman Les Moonves.
Variety‘s Ramin Setoodeh had a juicy tidbit of gossip to share with his Twitter followers earlier this week, writing that Griffin, 58, was reportedly at the posh Polo Lounge in the Beverly Hills Hotel when she spied Moonves, 69, nearby.
As Setoodeh writes, the comedian “loudly asked the waitress to move her,” explaining the reason: “I don’t want to be seated next to a rapist.” (Moonves was forced to step down from his longtime position at CBS and forego a $120-million exit package due to numerous claims of sexual misconduct made by multiple women.)
Griffin confirmed the story was true, responding to a Twitter enquiry by admitting she “honestly couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw him having the nerve to be sitting in such a high profile Hollywood restaurant. All I could think of, what if one of his victims innocently walked in, only to have to face this monster?”
In a subsequent tweet, Griffin confirmed that Moonves “was alone,” and she wasn’t sure whether or not he was meeting someone.
