Comedian Brent Butt shared the news on Sunday that Trudeau had recorded a voice cameo for “Corner Gas Animated”.

As Butt pointed out, the Canadian PM’s appearance marks tradition, with both Stephen Harper and Paul Martin previously popping up on the original live-action incarnation of the sitcom.

It sounds like Trudeau’s appearance will be a quick one, as Butt said the entire recording — done in the PM’s office — only took about 15 minutes.

The original “Corner Gas” series ran from 2004 to 2009, with “Corner Gas: The Movie” following in 2014.
