‘Jersey Shore’ Star The Situation Is Turning Himself In To Serve 8-Month Prison Sentence

The Situation is going behind bars for a while.

The “Jersey Shore” star, whose real name is Mike Sorrentino, is turning himself in to Federal Correctional Institution in Otisville, NY on Tuesday to begin his 8-month prison sentence, according to TMZ.

Sorrentino shared the mailing information at the prison on Twitter so that family, friends and fans will be able to get in touch with him while he’s away.

On the way to lockup, Sorrentino said in a video livestream, promising to be a better person after serving his sentence.

The sentence was handed down back in October, over a conviction on tax evasion charges. Sorrentino’s brother Marc was also convicted and sentenced to two years.

In November, Sorrentino got married to Lauren Pesce.
