Some may say that Joe Alwyn and Taylor Swift have a “strangely private” relationship but Alwyn disagrees.
The “Mary Queen of Scots” actor opened up about his relationship with the pop megastar when speaking with the Journal. Alwyn and Swift, both 29, have made it a point to stay out of the public eye in interviews and on dates.

Alywn insists the pair have a normal relationship but notes there must be a degree of precaution with visibility when dating someone like Swift who has a legion of diehard fans.
“I don’t think anyone you meet on the streets would just spill their guts out to you, therefore why should I?” Alwyn said. “And then that is defined as being ‘strangely private’. Fine. But I don’t think it is. I think it’s normal.”

The two have become more and more comfortable being seen together in public. They were both present at the 2019 Golden Globes and were spotted side by side at Golden Globes afterparties.
Alwyn and Swift began dating around the release of “Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk” (which starred Alwyn) in November 2016.
