Bill Maher Booed By His ‘Real Time’ Audience When He Announces Ann Coulter Will Be A Guest

It’s a given that the liberal audience of Bill Maher’s political HBO talk show “Real Time” would not be fans of right-wing media personality Ann Coulter, but even Maher was surprised by how much hatred her name engendered on his show Friday night.

During a conversation with former Rhode Island congressman Barney Frank, Maher announced that Coulter would appear on the show next week, and his news was met by boos from his audience.

“Yeah, that’s called a newsmaker. A policymaker. You’ll have to suck on that,” he fired back at the audience disapproval, reports Vulture.

That wasn’t the only time Coulter was mentioned during Friday’s “Real Time”.

During Maher’s monologue, which centred around the U.S government shutdown and the latest revelations about the Donald Trump, Maher joked about the undue influence that Coulter seems to have on the president.

“Of course Trump was not having that. Nobody puts man-baby in the corner,” Maher joked of Trump’s feud with Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi. “He was like, ‘I’m not gonna let some woman push me around — is Ann Coulter OK with that?’” Watch:
