Daniel Radcliffe is bringing some magic to a terminally ill youngster, sending a special video message to 4-year-old “Harry Potter” fan Giesel Garcia Fomperosa, who goes by her nickname, Gigi.
As the Daily Mail reports, Radcliffe, 29, sent a personal message via video to the girl, who lives in Mexico and was diagnosed with lymphoblastic leukemia at age 2.
“Hi Gigi, nice to meet you. I hope you are having a lovely day, wherever you are,” said Radcliffe.
“I’m sorry I look so scruffy and that it is so loud, but I just wanted to send lots of best wishes and love to you, and we are all thinking about you,” Radcliffe added in the video, which he filmed backstage at the theatre.
According to the Mail, Radcliffe was made aware of Gigi after her mother visited the New York theatre in which Radcliffe is appearing in “The Lifespan of a Fact” in hopes of getting an autograph and drawing attention to her daughter’s story. A security guard was so moved by the family’s efforts that he reportedly spoke with Radcliffe, leading the star to create the video.
Earlier, Gigi’s mother shared an adorable photo of her daughter in her hospital bed, dressed as the iconic boy wizard in full Gryffindor regalia.
