Steve Guttenberg has tied the knot!
The 60-year-old “Diner” star married CBS-TV’s “Living Large” reporter Emily Smith on Saturday, according to People. The ceremony, which took place in Malibu, California, was said to be a small, intimate affair.
Guttenberg and Smith met in 2014 after being set up on a blind date by WCBS-TV’s Scott Rapoport, reports People. The pair went out for drinks and hit it off almost immediately; a year later they moved in together.
The couple confirmed their engagement in December 2016, with Smith sharing a Facebook post showing off her engagement ring beside the “Police Academy” actor.
According to People, in 2018, the two moved to the Pacific Palisades, where Guttenberg owns a home.
Meanwhile, Guttenberg has been teasing fans that a new “Police Academy” movie is on the way. In September last year, the actor responded to a fan on Twitter who enquired about the comedy film franchise:
Guttenberg played Officer Mahoney in the first four “Police Academy” movies and the animated series.
