Bebe Rexha Slams Designers Who Allegedly Won’t Dress Her ‘Size 8 A**’ For The Grammys

Bebe Rexha is speaking out against designers who have allegedly refused to dress her for next month’s Grammy Awards.

The “Meant To Be” singer, 29, took to social media on Monday to slam the fashion brands who, according to Rexha, labelled her “too big” to fit into their sample size clothing.

“A lot of times artists will go and talk to designers, and they’ll make them custom dresses to walk the red carpet,” she explained in a video posted to both Twitter and Instagram. “I had my team hit out a lot of designers, and a lot of them do not want to dress me because I’m too big.”

She continued, “If a size 6/8 is too big then I don’t know what to tell you. Then I don’t want to wear your f**king dresses. To all the people that said that I’m thick… f**k you, I don’t want to wear your f**king dresses.”

In the short clip’s caption on Twitter, Rexha said the rude designers won’t hold her back, “My size 8 a** is still going to the Grammys.”

Rexha is nominated for both Best New Artist and Country Duo/Performance for her collab with Florida Georgia Line.

Since her post, a number of designers have apparently reached out to the singer to volunteer their services. Designers such as August Getty, Tanya Taylor and Elizabeth Kennedy all replied that they would love to outfit Rexha for the event.

Fellow singer Demi Lovato praised Rexha in the comments section of her video. “F**king preach!!!” Lovato wrote. “Love this and you for speaking your mind and using your voice!!!”

After speaking out against the designers who refuse to dress her due to her “size 8 a**,” Bebe Rexha has received a lot of love. In an interview with People, the singer says she was surprised to see the positive feedback that came from the post: “I really just wanted to share my story and how frustrated I was. I never expected to receive the amount of love and support that I did.” The singer saw support from fellow pop star Demi Lovato and a handful of designers who would be more than happy to dress her for her big night at the Grammys.

The Grammys will air Feb. 10.
