Whoopi Goldberg claims to have the cure for women’s menstrual cramps and that cure is medicinal marijuana.
“The View”; co-host is lending her name to a new medical marijuana company with leading cannabis businesswoman, Maya Elisabeth, to create a line of products designed to relieve menstrual cramps. The company, called Whoopi & Maya, will offer four products: cannabis-infused balms, tinctures, sipping chocolate and bath soaks.

In an interview with Vanity Fair, Goldberg says that she wanted to create products that would not only provide women with relief, but also allow them to get on with their day. “For me, I feel like if you don’t want to get high high, this is a product specifically just to get rid of discomfort,” she says. “Smoking a joint is fine, but most people can’t smoke a joint and go to work.”
“This, you can put it in your purse,” Goldberg continues. “You can put the rub on your lower stomach and lower back at work, and then when you get home you can get in the tub for a soak or make tea, and it allows you to continue to work throughout the day.”
Goldberg has been public about her own marijuana use for some time now, so her emergence into the marketplace as chairwomen of Whoopi & Maya seems only natural. The Whoopi & Maya line is scheduled to arrive in California this April.
