Markle and Ardern were seen together on numerous occasions during the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s royal tour of Australia, Fiji, Tonga, and New Zealand in October.
Ardern greeted the pair when they arrived at the Wellington International Airport Military Terminal. They later met at a welcome reception that night, then visited the Auckland War Memorial Museum, among other things.
