Johnny Depp’s latest legal documents reportedly cite new evidence against his ex-wife Amber Heard after she accused him of domestic violence.

Depp is suing U.K. newspaper The Sun for libel after it published the headline “How can J.K. Rowling be ‘genuinely happy’ casting wife-beater Johnny Depp in the new ‘Fantastic Beasts’ film?” in April 2018.

TMZ has now reported some new docs reference an alleged altercation between Depp and Heard at their downtown L.A. home on May 21, 2016.

Heard is said to have accused her ex of throwing a phone at her face before he pummelled her and she took photographs of the injuries.

However, the actor has now reportedly given witness’ statements saying they saw Heard in the apartment building that day without any “red marks or bruising on her face.”

TMZ states that one witness said they didn’t see the marks until six days later, while another insisted there was “no smashed glass” in the house, despite Heard claiming the actor had hurled one at her.

Depp reportedly said of The Sun in the docs: “They must have made a positive decision to present a totally one-sided picture, leaving out my side of the story and pretending it either did not exist or was not worth considering.”

The latest reports come after Heard addressed the aftermath of her domestic abuse accusations in an opinion piece for The Washington Post.

She recalled how friends and advisers “told me I would never again work as an actress” and how she “would be blacklisted.”
