Drake and NFL star Odell Beckham Jr. have been hit with a lawsuit from a man claiming that he was attacked by members of their respective entourages at a nightclub in West Hollywood, California.
The alleged assault, which was first reported by TMZ Sports in August last year, took place in March 2018 at the Delilah nightclub. According to the plaintiff, a Mr. Bennett Mcbride Sipes, the attack happened after a confrontation between himself and the defendants inside the club.
In court documents obtained by The Blast, Sipes claims he entered the VIP section to talk to his girlfriend when he got into an argument with Drake, Beckham, and Kourtney Kardashian’s ex, Younes Bendjima, all of whom were in the VIP area.
Sipes says after leaving the VIP section, he witnessed the Canadian rapper point at him and make a “throat slash” hand gesture to his private security, which he took as a physical threat.
When he went to enter the restroom, Sipes claims he was attacked by Bendjima and members of Drake and Beckham’s entourage and private security. He told TMZ Sports that he’s still suffering “extreme mental anguish and physical pain” and continues to pay medical bills.
Sipes is now suing Drake, Beckham, and Bendjima, as well as the club for failing to provide proper security.
Other sources told TMZ that Sipes was the aggressor in the situation and incited the group as they left the VIP area. Drake and Beckham had no part in the fight according to the same sources.
