If you do not have enough danger and desire in your life, do not worry because E.L. James has you covered.
The bestselling, and somewhat controversial, author of the Fifty Shades franchise has a new book on the way. The Mister is “a roller-coaster ride of danger and desire that leaves the reader breathless to the very last page,” according to the publisher.
“Maxim and Alessia have led me on a fascinating journey and I hope that my readers will be swept away by their thrilling and sensual tale, just as I was while writing, and that, like me, they fall in love with them,” James explained in a statement published by the Guardian.
James described the new novel as a “passionate new romance” and a “Cinderella story for the 21st century.”
There has been mixed reaction to James’ past work. Fifty Shades of Grey was originally developed as erotic Twilight fan fiction before the author re-published it as an original piece. It has been credited with normalizing erotica in the mainstream but has been criticized for the quality of its content.
Nevertheless, James translated five books in the Fifty Shades universe into three movies and an approximate net worth of $150 million.
