UPDATE: Saturday, Apr. 2 (1:17 p.m. ET) – Drew Barrymore and Wil Kopleman have confirmed they’re divorcing after less than four years of marriage, with the couple releasing a joint statement about the split.
“Sadly our family is separating legally, although we do not feel this takes away from us being a family,” the pair told People in a statement. “Divorce might make one feel like a failure, but eventually you start to find grace in the idea that life goes on.”
They added: “Our children are our universe, and we look forward to living the rest of our lives with them as the first priority.”

Drew Barrymore and her husband of nearly four years, Will Kopelman, are calling it quits, US Weekly reports.
The pair began dating in February 2011 and said “I do” in a romantic ceremony on her Montecito, California property 16 months later. Barrymore, 41, and Kopelman, 38, welcomed two children — Olive, 3, and Frankie, 23 months — during their time together.
“They’ve been having some difficulties, but they remain close for the sake of their kids,” one insider tells Page Six.
This will be Barrymore’s third divorce. The actress previously tied the knot with bartender Jeremy Thomas at the age of 19. Her second marriage to Canadian comedian Tom Green lasted only five months.
Back in November, the actress talked marriage with US Weekly. “My husband and I compromise on a lot of things … It’s the little things that you can change that can make a relationship stronger,” she revealed. “Compromise is about changing yourself for the better. It’s an opportunity for you to become a more functional, better person.”
News of Barrymore’s divorce comes one day after the star tattooed her right wrist with the names of her children.
