Ed Sheeran is breathing a sigh of relief after fire crews were called to the singer-songwriter’s country estate in Suffolk, England, with BBC News reporting that Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service responded to reports of a “small building fire” on the property.
According to a spokesperson, firefighters arrived on the scene, where they “extinguished the fire quickly and then ventilated the area of heavy smoke.”
The fire, added the spokesperson, was brought under control in less than 90 minutes.
The Sun reports that the fire service “could not confirm” what started the blaze but said there will no further investigation.
As the Sun points out, the 27-year-old pop star has been scooping up property near his hometown of Framlingham, purchasing four homes next to each other, leading locals to jokingly nickname the village “Sheeran-ville.”
Plans for Sheeran’s sprawling estate include an undergound “man cave” beneath a farmhouse, which will include a music room and private cinema, in addition to a walled kitchen garden and greenhouse.
Meanwhile, existing improvements to the property so far include “a giant treehouse, a trendy pod and a hot tub installed in his main garden, along with a covered swimming pool and a barn converted into his own pub, complete with urinals and choice of beer.”
