Jon Stewart Steps In To Save Runaway Bull

A bull that escaped from a New York City slaughterhouse and ran free won’t wind up on somebody’s dinner plate after all, with Jon Stewart and his wife Tracey stepping in to give bull a home at their Bullfehead Farm animal rescue sanctuary.

The bull, after making a Prison Break-style getaway, was captured on video running wild on the campus of NYC’s York College before being captured by the NYPD.

The bull — which has been named Frank, after an Alcatraz escapee — is currently spending the weekend with the Stewarts on their Bufflehead Farm in New Jersey, according to CNN.

After that, the bull will receive a medical checkup and then be relocated to an animal shelter in Watkins Glen, New York.

Jon and Tracey Stewart opened Bufflehead Farm late last year, part of the Farm Sanctuary network of facilities that provides homes for injured and abused farm animals.
