Ronda Rousey is not taking kindly to reports about her personal life.

Longtime professional wrestling reporter Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer recently reported Rousey would be taking a leave of absence from WWE.

The rumour is Rousey, the current WWE Raw Women’s champion and a former UFC women’s bantamweight champion, will take a hiatus post-Wrestlemania to start a family. Whether or not that is true is nobody’s business — just ask the MMA fighter-turned-professional wrestler.

“I honestly don’t know why [anyone] feels [they’re] an authority to speak on plans for my uterus,” Rousey told ESPN’s Ramona Shelburne. “It’s my vagina, my life, keep the speculations to yourself. Leave me and my reproductive organs alone.”

Rousey’s plans to start a family have long been publicized. In 2016 she told Ellen DeGeneres she wanted to have kids. In 2018, she said having children with her husband Travis Browne was a possibility in the near-future, according to footage published by TMZ.

Despite her rumoured absence, Rousey is contracted with the WWE until 2021. TMZ reportedly reached out to WWE and the company said, “Whether she wants to start a family is a private matter.”
