The 25th annual Screen Actors takes place at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles on Sunday, Jan. 27, with “Will & Grace” star Megan Mullally hosting this year’s gala, airing at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Global.
Ahead of the award show itself, fans can watch livestream coverage from the silver carpet, which will also feature appearances by SAG Awards ambassador Harry Shum Jr.
“It’s great. It really is an honour,” said the 36-year-old former “Glee” star of his SAG Awards role in a recent interview.
“I know when I got asked to participate, to be an ambassador, I’ve been part of this union for over 10 years. And to be someone to go on the inside to show the world the behind-the-scenes of the awards, something so meaningful, is really special,” he added. “So I mean, this is where all the work begins after the new year, so I’m really excited to participate in this.”
In addition to appearing in the pre-show webcast, Shum will also be presenting an award — and, as a nominee for his his role in “Crazy Rich Asians”, may even be taking one home with him.
Livestream coverage of the SAG Awards red carpet can be seen above, beginning at 2:30 p.m. PT/5:30 p.m. ET.
