“Black Panther” won big at the SAG Awards on Sunday night, taking home the prize for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture.

After picking up their awards, the cast went backstage to talk to reporters about the big win.
One of the first questions was about whether they had any doubts about doing a sequel to the hit Marvel movie.
Everyone emphatically answered, “No.”
Michael B. Jordan added, “It was a tremendous accomplishment…I think if there was an opportunity, I think we’d all be excited.”
Asked about the impact of the film in areas that haven’t been properly recognized, star Chadwick Boseman spoke about the amount of effort that went into creating the world of Wakanda.

“I would say I don’t think people truly understand the amount of detail, the amount of mastery that went into the hair and makeup, wardrobe, set design,” he explained. “There’s a disconnect, maybe because it’s a superhero movie, maybe because it’s a black movie.
“I don’t think people understand that the equivalent of somebody doing a period piece when you talk about the wardrobe in this movie. In fact, more difficult, because the tapestry of what’s being pulled from is from throughout the diaspora and it’s all weaved together.”
