Founding KISS guitarist Ace Frehley has fired back at Gene Simmons in a vitriolic social media post in which he claims the singer groped his wife.
The comments come after a recent interview in which the KISS bassist said Frehley was fired from the band “three times” for “drugs, alcohol, bad behaviour, being unprofessional” and would not be part of the upcoming “End of the Road” tour.
“Three times is the charm; ‘I promise I’ll pull out’ doesn’t work,” Simmons said when asked if they would invite Frehley or original drummer Peter Criss on the tour. “It’s the boy who cried wolf: ‘Oh, I’ve been straight for a million years.’ Terrific! Have a good life!”
“Would we welcome Ace or Peter to jump up on stage for a song or two?” he continued. “Of course. Could we depend on either Ace or Peter to do a full set night after night? Not on your f***ing life.”
In response, Frehley aired his feelings on the matter on Facebook, referring to Simmons as an “a**hole” and a “sex addict,” and accusing him of inappropriate behaviour with his wife.
“The icing on the cake was when you groped my wife and propositioned her in Los Angeles at the Capitol Records building behind my back,” he wrote. “She was planning on pursuing a suit against you, but I told her to call it off!!!”

Frehley also claimed that Simmons and fellow band member Paul Stanley “tried to derail [his] solo career multiple times over the years unsuccessfully.”
“Your slanderous remarks about my bad habits over the years has cost me millions of dollars and now that I’m over 12-years sober you’re still saying I can’t be trusted to play a whole nights show!
“Today’s comments have made me realize you’re just an a**hole and a sex addict who’s being sued by multiple Women, and you’re just trying to sweep it all under the carpet!”
