Ally Brooke has officially made her debut as a solo artist, with the former Fifth Harmony singer releasing the video for her first single, “Low Key”, featuring rapper Tyga.
“People never really got to see the true me. Now just being able to have my own freedom of being an artist is the most incredible feeling in the world,” said Brooke in a statement.
Brooke has been teasing the sultry new track on social media for the past few days, sharing her excitement with fans on Twitter.
Speaking with People earlier this year, the 25-year-old singer explained why she went solo.
“For so long I was in this box and now I’m out of it. I’m able to be who I want to be,” she said.
“Even my mom got emotional the other day. She’s like, ‘Ally, you are you again,’” she added. “And it’s beautiful. It really is.”
For Brooke, becoming a solo artist means taking control of her career and her music. “I love being able to have a say in everything that I do,” she explained.
