The first trailer for the “Fast & Furious” franchise spinoff “Hobbs and Shaw” is here, and it certainly packs a punch.

Officially titled “Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw”, the film sees law enforcement Diplomatic Security Service agent Luke Hobbs and assassin Deckard Shaw, played by Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham, team up to take on Brixton, the new villain, portrayed by Idris Elba.
From action-packed fight scenes to hilarious one-liners, the trailer shows off Johnson and Statham’s chemistry, which received a positive reaction when they starred alongside each other in 2017’s “The Fate of the Furious”.
Back in December 2018, Statham told Entertainment Weekly that fans can expect “Hobbs & Shaw” to be a “funnier, wilder version of the ‘Fast & Furious’ franchise.”

“Hobbs & Shaw” marks the first “Fast & Furious” film without its leading man Vin Diesel after multiple reports claimed that there had been conflict on set between the 51-year-old and Johnson.
