Ellen DeGeneres, known for her generous gifts, failed at giving Japanese drummer Yoyoka Soma a welcome gift.

The youngster appeared on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” for the first time on Friday to show off her impressive drumming skills with a cover of Queen’s “Stone Cold Crazy”.

After the performance, Soma joined DeGeneres, and a translator, for an interview when the talk show host asked if there was another instrument she’s want to play.

First, Soma listed off a guitar and bass as her next ones to tackle but that’s not at all what DeGeneres was hoping she was going to say.

“Does she like the xylophone?” DeGeneres asked, before Soma flat out said “No.”

But once she rolled out the giant xylophone, Soma eventually got excited about the gift.
