It’s time to “Raise Your Glass” to Pink!
The Grammy Award-winning singer is the latest celeb to be honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame.
On Tuesday, the “Beautiful Trauma” singer’s star was unveiled with the help of Ellen DeGeneres and singer-turned-actress Kerri Kenney-Silver. Selling more than 50 million albums worldwide since her debut in 2000, Pink has had 15 singles reach the top 10 in Billboard Hot 100 – including four songs to go all the way to number one. The singer also wrote and performed “Today’s The Day”, the theme song for “The Ellen DeGeneres Show”.
“I feel like I’m dreaming and if anyone pinches me I’m gonna punch them in the left eyebrow,” she joked as she took the stage in front of the crowd, including her husband Carey Hart and children Willow Sage and Jameson Moon.
“I feel like a lot of people only thought I’d ever make to the Walk of Shame but here I am,” the 39-year-old quipped to the cheering crowd. “I signed my first record deal 23 years ago and I’m only 23-and-a-half so that’s crazy. It’s been two decades and it’s been meaningful and it’s been awesome.”
“My whole family is here and that makes it real. And my friends and my fans – thank you for all of it. You guys make it matter. It’s so good to see you, thank you for coming,” she says to fans who waited in the rain for the ceremony.
“To my husband, I literally would not be standing up here if it wasn’t for you, so never change,” she addressed Hart and their children before posing for an adorable family photo on her new star. “And to my children, Willow Sage and Jameson Moon, you guys are my stars and I would never shine without you.”
Pink’s star is number 2,656 on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame and is located in front of the Hollywood & Highland complex on Hollywood Blvd.
